It was a nice enough night, but only four improved upon and one tied her previous season-series best. From the photos that Morley took, it looked as if the main reason for the small number of improvements was the amount of motor traffic on the road. In fact even those of us who weren't impeded directly by cars were impeded by the time trialists who were waiting for their chance to turn. Oh well, at least every one got back safe and sound! Note that there are only two more chances, August 13 and August 20, to complete enough WTT events to be eligible for WTT awards. You must do 4 WTT events, at least 3 of which must be 15km WTTs and at most 1 of which can be a 10km event. The current category rankings for those who already qualify is seen here. The following people can still qualify for the WTT awards by doing the indicated number of the remaining two WTT events before the WTT Invitational: Candace Anderson (1), Angela Beauchamp (2), Catherine Belzile (2), Myriam Burton (2), Natalie Cormier (1), Lynda Damen (1), Janine Gorman (1), Tanya Hunt (2), Alison Ingham (1), Marie-Alexandre Lemire (2), Nicole MacDonald (1), Sarah McKenzie-Picot (1), Alyssa Mellon (1), Lisa Meyer (2), Sabrina Morris (1), Erika Revesz (2), Margaret Wilson (1).
